CONSTRUCTION PROCESS OF A PATIO

Site preparation: Start by analysing the sites characteristics, clearing any obstacles, and excavating the area to the desired depth for the patio. Foundation establishment: Create a solid foundation, typically with layers of compacted hardcore/ type 1 ensuring proper drainage to prevent issues like water pooling. Drainage planning: Incorporate drainage solutions, such as a gradient away from structures, or installing a French drain or permeable base to prevent water accumulation.

Edging installation: Install edging materials, like concrete or stone, to define the patio's borders and help contain the chosen surface materials. Laying pattern planning: Plan the layout and pattern for laying the patio slabs, considering aesthetics and functionality. Patio slab placement: Carefully lay the patio slabs onto the prepared base or sand bedding, ensuring even spacing and alignment with the planned pattern.
